WISE is Australia’s leading not-for-profit helping people earn, learn and live well.

Since 1992, we’ve worked alongside people experiencing barriers to employment and opportunity, helping them recognise their strengths, develop their skills and take steps towards the future they want.

Today, we deliver employment and support services across Australia. This includes the Australian Government’s Workforce Australia program in New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia, and Inclusive Employment Australia across all states and territories.

We also provide a range of programs and services that support people with disability and others experiencing disadvantage to work towards greater independence, connection and opportunity.

It starts with one person

Every person who comes to WISE has their own story, strengths and idea of what comes next.

Our role isn't to decide what that should look like. It’s to listen, understand what matters to them and provide the support, skills and opportunities that can help them move forward.

Sometimes that starts with finding a job. Sometimes it’s learning a new skill, growing in confidence or simply taking a first step.

A new opportunity can change more than one person’s day. It can strengthen a family, bring new perspectives into a workplace and create greater connection across a community.

A not-for-profit creating change that goes further

As a not-for-profit, our purpose goes beyond delivering services. Each year, we support thousands of people on their path towards greater independence and meaningful work, while helping employers find people who can bring something valuable to their teams.

Since 2001, WISE has also invested $3.5 million in community projects, supporting people experiencing disadvantage and creating opportunities for change to go further.

Our three social enterprises(opens in new tab) in New South Wales, Tasmania and Victoria create further employment opportunities, with more than 500 people employed across them.
